Frankenstein Project (Component 1 - Collected Works)

Week 1 - Frankenstein

Starting component 1 (Collected Works), we were set to design something based on the word "Frankenstein". I developed a few sketches for ideas and concepts and ended up developing a celebratory rum, to celebrate the impact of the Frankenstein story has had in the film industry over the last 200 years.

Celebratory Rum Inspired By Frankenstein

“ Frankenstein", is a fictional character who first appeared in Mary Shelley's 1818 novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus.”

Developing this concept was quite interesting as I focused the design concept around minimalism and simplicity. Using darker colours to showcase the theme of Frankenstein's story and yet using bold typefaces to signify the impact this novel has had over the years makes the logo unique and eye-catching.

Developing The Idea

Using free hand drawing to sketch out the initial idea, I used Adobe Photoshop to develop the sketch further to create my final outcome. This process was enjoyable as the original sketch developed into something that looks professional but still needs some minor adjustments to complete the design.
